Fred van Paassen Chrysanten specialises in growing high-quality spray chrysanthemums of high quality and ornamental value. The company constantly invests in systems and other tools that ensure they grow better flowers with less input every time.

Fred: "I took over the baton from father Henk in the early 1990s. Since then, great strides have been made. The company moved from Schipluiden to Wervershoof and from there to Andijk, the current location. Every ten years, we doubled our acreage. Meanwhile, my son Jan has joined the company, the third generation."

Jan: "We grow Baltica and Altaj. Beide witte troschrysanten zijn populaire gevulde rassen. Een mooie teelt met als bijkomende uitdaging het zelf bewortelen van de jonge plant. Dit bewortelen vindt al sinds het begin plaats op het bedrijf, waarvan de laatste jaren in samenwerking met Green Simplicity, het bedrijf van mijn broer Wessel van Paassen”.
