Remco: ''J&A Flowers is a chrysanthemum nursery founded in 1982 by my father Jan and my uncle Andre. I joined the company myself in 2010. My brother-in-law Erwin joined the company in 2019 and we have been running the day-to-day operations together ever since. We specialise in the cultivation of chrysanthemums and do so at 2 different locations with a total area of about 100,000 m2. Our main location is in De Lier and our other location is in Maasdijk. The production sites are equipped with the most modern installations and cultivation techniques to guarantee top quality chrysanthemums all year round''.

Erwin: '"We always want to keep innovating the range of chrysanthemums. The Magnum has now been our main variety for many years but we introduce one or two new varieties every year, in collaboration with the breeders. Recent examples are the Honeymoon and Undercover, which we grow exclusively, as well as the Topspin Cream and Lamira Red."

Remco: "We would like to continue investing, on the one hand together with VannoVa but also within our own company. This to serve our customers even better and surprise them with our beautiful chrysanthemums. In order to continue doing this optimally in the future, we have recently built 36,000 m2 at our main location in De Lier and preparations are already underway to build another 32,000 m2. Until the end of quarter three of 2024, we harvested flowers at a temporary rental location but now that the first phase of the new building in De Lier has been completed, the rental location has been divested, allowing us to centralise more and work even more efficiently and environmentally friendly''.
