From this week, Master Grower Santini Nursery is releasing their latest santini variety Bowie: the first white Santini in the market that is well-dyeable.
Richard van Schie: “We are delighted to be the first grower in the Netherlands to grow Bowie. We already think he is very beautiful in his purest form, pearly white in colour with a green heart. When we heard that it can also be dyed very well, we became even more enthusiastic, because a Santini that absorbs paint well is not yet available on the market. This makes Bowie very versatile, as any colour is possible! A final feature is the flower’s particularly long shelf life. I also like to pay compliments to breeder Dekker Chrysanten, their team has done top work. Because breeding is craftsmanship.”
“Every time I visited Richard van Schie, I was cheerfully greeted by Bowie, the dog that walks around the nursery. When it was announced that this species was going to be allotted to Richard van Schie, I did my best to name it after that cute dog and I succeeded!” said Warja Abrosimova of Dekker Chrysanthemums. In the coming days, Dekker Chrysanten and Richard van Schie will visit many relations to introduce Santini Bowie.
